We are pleased to announce an exciting new partnership between Faern Arosa Altein and Arosa Bärenland, a renowned bear sanctuary dedicated to wildlife conservation and education. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to sustainability and will provide our guests, particularly families, with unique and enriching experiences during their stay in the stunning Arosa region.

What This Partnership Offers

Beginning this summer, guests at Faern Arosa Altein will have the opportunity to participate in a range of exclusive activities and programs designed in collaboration with Arosa Bärenland:

• Monthly Information Evenings: Arosa Bärenland rangers will host sessions at our hotel, offering fascinating insights into the sanctuary's work and the lives of the bears they care for. These events are designed to engage both children and adults with the important themes of wildlife conservation.
• Weekly Educational Film Screenings: We will regularly feature educational films that highlight the stories of the bears at Arosa Bärenland and the sanctuary’s efforts to provide them with a safe and natural environment. This is a wonderful way to learn more about animal protection in a relaxed setting.
• Guided Tours and In-House Exhibitions: Guests can enjoy private guided tours of Arosa Bärenland and explore an exhibition in our lobby dedicated to the sanctuary’s mission. These experiences are designed to foster a deeper connection with wildlife and conservation efforts.
• Family-Friendly Programs: We will actively promote the Bärenbande children’s program during the summer months, offering free participation and vouchers to families staying with us. Additionally, during the winter season, younger guests will benefit from special rates for ski school lessons, ensuring they can enjoy a safe and fun learning environment on the slopes.

This partnership with Arosa Bärenland is not just about enhancing our guests' experience—it's also about contributing to a greater cause. Since its opening in 2018, Arosa Bärenland has led animal protection, providing a sanctuary for bears rescued from difficult living conditions. The sanctuary’s first resident, Napa, has successfully acclimated to his new environment, and the facility continues to be widely recognized for its dedication to animal welfare.

Faern Arosa Altein is proud to support Arosa Bärenland by offering discounted tickets to our guests, hosting an annual fundraising event, and making a financial contribution to further the sanctuary's efforts in conservation.

Winter Adventures Await

Arosa is a year-round destination, and winter here is truly special. With guaranteed snow at 1800 meters above sea level and 225 kilometers of slopes in the Arosa-Lenzerheide region, there are many opportunities for winter sports and activities. Guests can also visit Arosa Bärenland during the winter season (on Thursdays) and enjoy private guided tours as part of their stay.
