Altein - Launch of Faern Collection

Altein, Arosa – New name, Same Hotel

With immediate effect, the Arenas Brand will be discontinued, and the two Hotels, Victoria Lauberhorn (Arenas Wengen) and Schweizerhof (Arenas Sils Maria), will be incorporated into the newly created Faern Hotels & Resorts Collection. The collection will include the two existing Faern hotels, Altein in Arosa and Valaisia in Crans Montana.

The change will be gradually implemented in December 2024 and January 2025, but it will only result in a general name change for the Hotels. Arenas Resort Schweizerhof will be renamed to Schweizerhof, Sils Maria, and Arenas Resort Victoria Lauberhorn will be renamed to Victoria Lauberhorn, Wengen.

The Faern Hotels and Resorts Collection is based on shared values of nature, sustainability, community, and individuality. The group will also continue to expand our product offering through our loyalty program, which can be used across all hotels in the group.

What does this mean for Altein today?

For the 2024/2025 season, substantial changes are not expected. The hotel will be renamed, but its services and facilities will remain intact. Updates include a refreshed massage room and a new pizza oven in Alpensand for authentic Italian pizza. These improvements have already been completed. Faern Collection plans to keep investing in the hotel's services and infrastructure.
